Cold Front Puts New England On Top Thursday

Thursday July 19th, 2012

After relatively long (by New England standards) heat wave, a front sagging south through the region will usher in cooler and drier air. This will create a plethora of PWI 9’s and even a few 10’s. The 10’s are in the Connecticut River Valley around Littleton, New Hampshire. The UP of Michigan is on the list again right on the shore of Lake Superior. The only town there with a perfect 10 us Crisp Point, Michigan. Out West, pretty warm weather and not a lot of perfect 10’s. Only a few places in California around the Bay Area. My pick here is Gonzales, California. Overall, New Hampshire bests Vermont by a hair. Another beautiful day in south-central Alaska! Widespread PWI 9’s in some of the most visited location including: Anchorage, Seward, Soldotna, and Wasilla.

    Best                         Worst

1. New Hampshire       1. Alabama
2. Vermont                     2. Georgia
3. New York                   3. Maryland
4. Maine                          4. Kentucky
5. Massachusetts         5. South Carolina
