New Record For Perfect Weather

Thursday September 20th, 2012

Thursday marks the first time the Perfect Weather Index has forecasted a national mean of 8.0! On top tomorrow is Delaware, mainly due to it’s small size. More importantly is the large area of perfect 10’s in Illinois around Springfield. Also, perfect 10’s throughout the Appalachian Mountains from West Virginia south through Tennessee. Only Florida will have a mean in the Continental US below 6.

Out West, the usual perfect weather in areas of elevation. I wonder will the transition to lower elevation perfect weather will begin? My bet is soon.

Southeast Alaska will see some nice weather, especially for so late in the year and considering the pounding The Last Frontier has received of late.

Frost/Freeze Areas

The other interesting happening tomorrow is the widespread frost and freeze through New England. Mainly this will affect the mountainous area, but frost is possible even in the Champlain and Connecticut Valleys.

Best: 1. Delaware 2. Tennessee 3. West Virginia 4. Illinois 5. Connecticut

Worst: 1. Alaska 2. Florida 3. Michigan 4. Minnesota 5. Wisconsin
